Martha “Marty” Watson, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered heavens gates Tuesday September 27, 2016. She was born October 20, 1946 to Harold and Edna Smith.

Marty was the strongest and most loving woman known by friends and family. She was always giving of herself. Marty was a foster parent for over twenty years and touched many young lives. She loved working in her yard and tending to her koi pond. Her most precious times were spent with her grandchildren who she cherished.

Marty was employed by Dillard’s in Muskogee representing Estee Lauder – and boy was she good at her job! She was so lovely and with such beautiful skin that everyone wanted what she was selling.

Marty was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Smith; sister Donna Jean; brother Phillip Smith. Marty is survived by her four children: Marcie Mayes and husband Steven; Kelly Smith and husband Gary; Jon Watson and wife Monique; Rachell Watson. Grandchildren: Michael Stafford; Dawniell Willingham and husband Joshua; Austin Stacy; Bailey Watson; Nathaniel Mayes; Brendon Watson; Wrangler Smith; BreAnna Smith. Great Grandchild: Caleb Breedlove; Dominique Willingham; Micah Stafford; Miriam Stafford; Aubrey Willingham. Siblings: Judy Henson and husband Ed; Connie Aich and husband Leo; Tommy Smith and wife Mary; Kathy Raymond; Ricky Smith and wife Julie; Randy Smith and wife Abby; Debbie Lindsay. Countless nieces and nephews.

As mentioned, Marty cared for many many children through the years. Laura Roney lived with her during her teenage years and has said Marty was the best Mom she ever had. Several years ago Marty adopted Rachell who she raised from the age of 5. She also took part in raising Rachell's brothers and sister: Stacy Williams, Gerrit Clark, and Truman Clark. Marty loved them all and considered them her own children. They all did well in school and graduated from high school due to Marty's influence. These are just a few of the many children that Marty cared for.

A celebration of Marty’s life will be at 10 am, Monday, October 3, 2016 at First Assembly of God church with Pastor Steve Rose officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons Michael Stafford, Austin Stacy, Wrangler Smith, Bailey Watson, Nathaniel Mayes, and Brendon Watson. Burial will be at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
