Jackie Kirk
Jackie Kirk was born March 9, 1923 in Boynton, OK, the daughter of Joe and Grace (Robinson) McCollum and died Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Muskogee.
Jackie grew up and attended school in Muskogee and Braggs. After graduation, she married Calvert Kirk on October 2, 1941 and together they raised five children. Jackie was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as swinging on her porch, planting flowers, listening to gospel music, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, George Kirk and wife, Terri, Jimmy Kirk, son-in-law Charles Davis, Catherine Phillips and husband, Orlin, and Mary Wolfe; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Beulah Sullivan and Betty McCollum; brothers, Bobby McCollum and wife, Cathy, Billy McCollum, Shelby McCollum and wife, Karen, Cornell McCollum, Willis McCollum and wife, Hope, Guy McCollum, and Ray McCollum; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Irene McCollum; husband, Calvert Kirk; daughter, Faye Davis; great-grandson, Gavin Pryor; brothers, Mike, Jerry, Floyd, and Eugene McCollum; sisters, Pearl Dye, Willamae Pilkington, and Geraldine Hall.
Services for Jackie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Braggs with Reverend Chuck Myers officiating. Pallbearers will be Marcus Masterson, Dennis Mooreland, Michael Mooreland, Jessie Mooreland, Joshua Brown, Danian Moore, Austin Davis, and Dylan Pryor. Honorary pallbearers will be Orlin Phillips, Charles Davis, Terry Brown, Austin Kirk, Logan Pryor, and Tristan Echols. Burial will be in South Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
