MARTHA ERLENE (STILLS) SCARBROUGH
1945 – 2017

Martha Earlene (Stills) Scarbrough, 71, of Fort Gibson, OK, was born August 27, 1945 in Fort Gibson, OK, the daughter of Marvin and Geneva (White) Stills and died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Muskogee, OK.

Martha was a 1963 graduate of Fort Gibson High School. On June 13, 1980 she married Glen Scarbrough in Muskogee, OK. Martha was a member of the Old Mission Church in Fort Gibson. Prior to retirement, Martha worked as a security guard. Martha loved her family, camping, cleaning, gospel music, and traveling. She was a devoted Christian.

Survivors include her husband, Glen, of the home; daughter, Angela Austin and husband, Darien of Muskogee; son, Barry E. Settlemyre Sr. and wife, Wanda, of Russellville, AL; six grandsons, Darien Austin II and wife, Stefanie, Rodney Austin and Audrey Roberts, Barry Settlemyre Jr. and wife, Aubrea, of Mt. Juliet, TN, Nathan Settlemyre and wife, Christina, of Marion, SC, Eric Settlemyre and Joshua Settlemyre both of Russellville, AL; two granddaughters, Bethany Thouvenel and husband, Jason, of Fort Gibson, Anastasia Settlemyre of Russellville, AL; two step-grandchildren, Cody Haithcoke and Amber Haithcock; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Joanne Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Settlemyre; brothers, Jim Stills and Delbert Stills.

Funeral services for Martha will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Fort Gibson with Reverend Glen Little officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Thouvenel, Mark Stills, Joe Snow, and Steven Snow. Burial will be in Starnes Cemetery.
