James Albert Combs, 82, of Warner, OK, was born November 19, 1934 at Checotah, OK, the son of Woodrow and Laverne (Treadwell) Combs and died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Muskogee.

James married Alpha Jean Wilson. Prior to retirement, he worked in construction. Pastimes included fishing, hunting, and watching sports.

Survivors include his wife, Alpha, of the home; children, Dana Newton of Warner, Rebecca Johnson and Brian of Texas; step-children, Esther Horn, Terry Horn of Arkansas, Randy parks of Muskogee, Debra Jean Maher of Muskogee, Janet Gray and Elmer of Warner; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Harold Combs and wife, Sheila, of Wetumka. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Duckett and Barbara Ann Nester; and brother, Joe Combs.
