Mattie Lou Baines, 91, of Muskogee, OK, was born July 31, 1926 at Morris, OK, the daughter of John Rawls and May (Crawford) Rawls and died Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home in Muskogee.

On February 13, 1947 she married William A. Baines in Shippensburg, PA., and together they traveled while Bill was in the Army and Navy. They were members of NECA and owned Baines Electric Company where Mattie worked as the bookkeeper. Mattie loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Baines Swafford and husband, Gary; grandson, James William Walker; special brother-in-law, Paul Lowery, of Shippensburg, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2011; grandson, Chad Walker in 1984.

Services for Mattie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee, OK, with Pastor John Overton officiating. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery in Morris, OK.
