David Eric Willis, Muskogee resident died Wednesday May 8 at his home. He was 57 years old.

David was born May 25, 1960 in Talihina, OK, the son of Eric and Hazel (Claunts) Willis. He was married to Francine Pettit on March 23, 1985 in Muskogee. David had worked as a truck driver for most of adult life, driving for over 30 years.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and driving his truck. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling and just spending time with his family.

He is survived by four children, Derrick Willis of Salina, Amber Willis of Muskogee, Shawna Miller of Yukon and Jenny Fennych of Tulsa; seven grandchildren, Brylynn Willis, Layla Willis, Kayla VanHooser, Kylie VanHooser, Chance Miller, P.J. Starr, Awtum Miller and Aisha Miller; one brother Bennie Willis; five sisters, Vickey Maroon and husband Ron, Debbie Fitzpatrick and husband Steve, Pamela Tinsley and husband John, Tedra Willis and Marcella Knight; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Allen; one grandson Austen and one sister Neva.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday May 12, 2018 at the Brushy Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday.
